Buying Land in the UK

The UK has approximately 60 million acres of land in and roughly 70% of the land is owned by a total of 1% of the population. Until very recently this land mass was owned by slightly more than 6,000 landowners, including the large institutions and the other owned by the Crown.

Today, there has been a recent shift in the ownership of land as it becomes a very attractive asset to other people, than just the traditional land owner. It is very attractive when it can be bought and sold in acreages suitable for the private investor who wants to buy land in the UK for long term speculation and growth.
